Hi everyone
I have bipolar disorder and met someone I was interested in, recently. I noticed a little social awkwardness right away, but I didn't think much about it. After he called me out on me having bipolar disorder (it's not something I tell someone right away), there was a huge fight. This is when I found out he has Asperger's Syndrome. I don't know why, but this concerns me, considering we both have a MI.
My question is, has any one had any success in dating? I'm not saying it is impossible, but I don't know if there is anything I should pay attention to or look out for. The only I know so far is that he seems to be really sensitive if I say certain things. It could also be the age difference between us (9 years), but I don't know. This is all foreign to me.
My disorder is under control through medication and therapy. I'm independent, live on my own, have a good job, make a good salary, etc. So I'm not looking to babysit anyone (no offense). Any advice and/or input would be helpful.

Edit: Plus he is dealing with some legal issues from his baby's mother and recently lost his job which puts added stress on him, and potentially onto me.
