What sorts of things do you all with aspergers do that is considered stimming?
I rub the tops of my ears. A lot. Some days are worse than others. Sometimes I don't do it for weeks. I love the way it feels so much I've done it ever since I can remember. I never thought of it as an asperger trait until my therapist mentioned it I try to not do it in front of people especially at work but it's so compulsive. It feels like I HAVE TO sometimes. I see people looking at me doing it. Some even ask me what I am doing and I get embarrassed So what kinds of things do you guys do? How do you feel about it? Does it bother you? Mine really soothes me... But like I said I get embarrassed sometimes.

I rock, twirl my hair, and awkwardly move my hands. Stimming soothes me too. I can relate to it being embarrassing but I'm beginning to be at the point where I don't care anymore.
ETA- I also tap my foot. |

I click my ear rings, I have sleepers and I click them open and shut, sometimes I will be doing it so intensively and I won't even notice I am doing it till I feel like someone notices.
