I have always stryggled to get a long with people, being around them 8-10 hours everyday makes me very tired. Now I have finally gotten a job that I like but noone really speaks to me at work, and its a small company with few employes. For this reason its hard to show up at work, people barely look at me. How you guys deal with this stuff, if you have experienced it? I just dont want to quit working!!

I have found greeting people with a smile and a "good morning" starts things moving. Sometimes you have to be the one to step and start the communication.

It's hard, but initiate conversations. Like, say you're both at the photocopier messes up? You can start a short conversation about that. Or just say good morning and ask how their weekend was.
Some workplaces are so unused to new employees that they forget that it can be really isolating when someone new starts. __________________ "The time has come, the Walrus said, to talk of many things. Which is really ridiculous when you consider how amazing I am. |

I think just a smile or a good morning would help

I struggle with talking to most people at work.
I've worked in offices all my adult life and with a few exceptions, don't feel comfortable at all around fellow workers. I spend most of the day worrying that they think I'm too quiet - especially when some people come out and say I am - to my face I'm thinking it may now be an ingrained response to office work and I'm thinking of other jobs away from a seated desk environment where I may be less socially anxious. __________________ I used to be darker, then I got lighter, then I got dark again. |

I have the same issues I had a job at a factory a month ago and took a lot for me to talk to people in the morning, or just say good morning and most times that I did I would second guess if I did it alright anyway too.
