I totally have no feelings about these and no longer understand why they are important to anyone.

Yeah, I hate em too. Not only am I anxious and socially awkward but I also don't get much of a payoff from them either so there's almost no point. People are supposed to be happy being around their friends and family.

I find holidays quite stressful too... except Hallowe'en, I love Hallowe'en (yet hate dressing up and get quite stressed out if I need to find a costume for anything!!!)

My birthday is by far the worst. I've had so many really awful experiences with my birthday... and I just find them hard. I just have so much evidence that people don't care about my birthday (being cancelled on the day of? Being forgotten all the time by people who've known you years and years and years? Being broken up with?! [no joke]). But like.. it feels so fake, that someone has to show you that they care and it's an obligation so it's not even real. Same with Christmas presents and Valentine's Day presents.

I get a lot of anxiety around Christmas and Thanksgiving. I don't live near my family, so I tend to have a lot of people inviting me over (which is a nice feeling.... somewhat) and I panic. I don't want to intrude on their family lives, and I feel like they're just taking pity on me being on my own. So... a lot of anxiety around that too.

I think what I hate about holidays is what is expected and what is real is often quite opposite. On top of the fact that I work in retail and seriously get confused about what holiday is next. Just last week I received Halloween books in along with back to school books. Uggg!
