Ok,

So it's hard for us Avies to put ourselves out there and get put in the spotlight feeling raw and naked, but that's exactly what I have done on here in another forum putting pictures of my art work that I give to my T.

Now I don't expect everyone to be falling all over themselves to look causing a complete crash of the site! but I was kinda expecting a comment or two maybe even a thanks for this but nothing nada zilch!! 120 odd people have looked.

I am feeling really ignored and rejected, second guessing myself about trying and really want to delete the whole thread so no one can see how bad I am and how I so totally got this wrong.

Well it certainly put me back in box, chocolate!

I know that feeling when people on the internet don't say anything when I make a post. Then I think about deleting it, but I generally manage to fight the urge and just leave it there.

I'm sorry no one has thanked you yet. I have posted threads that didn't get much feedback and it is disappointing. I looked at your paintings and I liked them It took me a while to figure out how to enlarge them; maybe that was the case with others not responding? Just keep on posting, that's what I do. I dunno, maybe the practice is good for us Avies.

Teepee, is your art work on this site?

I was the subject of a painting called "The Avie".

When the idea was first pitched to the head lecturer the artist was shut down bc the piece will not be understood.

After speaking to the upset artist i basically said that the lecturer basically breathed life into the painting with his judgmental comments. I figure if a painting of an Avie is judged long before the paint hits the canvas then she has filled the brief.

She went a head and painted "the avie" as per her initial design.

I went to the opening of the art show months later and as i approached the entry the piece could be seen before the electric doors opened... which sent me into a every emotion you can think of at once that happened everytime i tried to walk up to it.

Still took me many hours to view it in detail.
The finished piece did receive allot of praise and accolades and was submitted(by the lecturer) to a subsequent art gallery for an assessment .
Although it didn't make it to the walls of this secondary prestige gallery it still opened up new doors for the artist.

Continue with your work Teepee, bc i have found allot of people look at art and don't understand what they are looking at simply bc they aren't art originated.

Thanks green moss I guess it's the knee jerk reaction of I put myself out there and nobody said anything soooo everybody hates me. I didn't think maybe no one can get them larger but also saying that why would they not comment saying it's not working?? Oh the Avie mind.

Thanks Snap that sounds like it would have been very confronting but possibly very validating and I'm not sure if this makes sense but solid. Yes some of my art is on here in the creative craft forum my thread is called something like artwork and my journey.

I find it hard as I will acknowledge someone's work even if I don't understand what's going on for the artist. To me it's just plain manners to acknowledge or thank just smile especially here where we look for support.

I don't know I feel very exposed and raw.

I went and checked them out! I really like the city-grid-like-ones! And yeah, they brought up a new tab which was tiny... but when I closed the tab, they were in the original tab at a normal size! It was a bit bizzare, haha!

Where exactily are these pictures? I love paintings.
My partner paints and my best friend also paints.
I want to see them.
Tepee, I once told you that a great mistake we usually do is taking other people actions, personaly.
People, as a rule, don't know anything about paintings. People usually go to the stadium to see their teams, they don't go to museums.
