And I've been saying that for ages!

And can people with PD's change?
Also yes.
If you let them take you over, you will get worse and worse until you deal with them.
If you work on making them better, you will learn skills that will help you get around the worst aspects of them, and will help you live a better life.
It is also possible to create new neural pathways. You won't lose the PD, but instead you will have two paths to choose from. You can do it the way you always have done it (regardless of how self-destructive it is) or you can actively choose to do things a different way. It might never become completely automatic, but you can choose to act in a way that works better for you.

I honestly couldn't agree more with this. A lot of people tend to blame their behaviors on the illness, rather than try to cope and manage it.
