Have you ever been asked a question that is so uncomfortable where you find yourself clearing your throat quietly and do this a few times before you're able to speak?
So, as the stress levels raise some kind of acid reflux happens and in my case my voice usually starts to become quite husky and in some situations i will loose my voice.
I have naturally raised stress level and although i can hide it and keep it together i do recognize the symptoms.

Now for many many years i have always thought that i just cant get enough oxygen into my lunges when training...and it only just dawned on me that perhaps its all stress related???
Does this make some kind of sense?

I do allot of endurance and strength & body building exercises and have done for many years now, but I believe i should have allot more cardio endurance than i have.
My question is the acid reflux and day to day stress levels holding me back from increasing my cardio and oxygen levels?

I can't say for sure whether that is your problem but my BIL and DIL both suffer as you do and both have trouble with their oxygen levels when the acid reflux happens. My DIL has the stress factor causing the acid reflux as you do so I guess it's possible for you as well. You should consider going to your doctor and getting it checked out.

Stress can trigger the acid reflux and granted there's no mention of asthma in your post, there's a couple articles saying that acid reflux affects asthmatics.

Are there any stress relieving forms of exercise that can be added? Such as tai chi or yoga? To take you to a place mentally free from inducing stress?

Have you ever noticed a difference in improved cardio endurance in a situation or location that is less stressfull? Or is stress level a continuous issue that doesn't vary with situation or location?

No, asthma.

I see yoga and tai chi would be effective on those who aren't highly stressed or those who believe in hype.
(sorry if that sounds negative but i just want to be truthful rather than be polite to accept)

Any stress relieving forms are only going to be defaulted once the training begins and then i have increased the pressure with disappointment and frustration.
I find the brain is shutting down the body and the body is feeding off the brain.

Stress levels vary but the cardio is always the same.
I do have days when i do well i'm pushing to the absolute extremes.

Lovely to hear from you GM
Hope you're well

Thanks Snap
So it feels you aren't getting as much oxygen as you should be getting even if your stress level is relatively low?

Being asked a uncomfortable question etc, thats when i have some kind of acid reflux thing and find myself quietly clearing my throat all day and depending on the severity or continuation leads to a strained voice or to loosing my voice.

Labouring under breath during training is a combination of clearing of my throat from time to to time and sucking in volumes of air (unless i don't put the effort in) This is where i know i should have more cardio endurance than i already have and its noticeable by breath.
I'm as thick as two short planks but i keep seeing the joining of dots between stress and its effect on breathing, which is made more prominent under higher loads such as cardio and endurance training.
