My life was and is ruled by fears. It's horrible because it's an irrational fear.
It stops you and avoid you enjoy things in life.

If I have to answer my own question, there are so many thing I'm afraid of that I find very hard to choose one. But, I will choose the most important at this moment. I'm afraid of my mind. This part of my mind that says to me that nobody can like me.

My main fear is losing my daughter, but one that causes me a lot of distress, too is the fear of not having enough money to pay my bills which is a real possibility in the near future.

Sorry, loosing someone or having economical problems is a real fear.
This is why I hate irrational fears, life is sometimes scary enough to add moré. Sorry, honey!

Being rejected, abandoned, having someone tell me that they hate me and/or want nothing to do with me.... being a burden on someone, not being worth it....

Living my life without ever starting it. I fear getting old and never having experienced the things that most people experience. If I try to act on something I want then I feel ashamed for wanting it, like I don't deserve it or I'm kidding myself for believing in the possibility that I could have it. If I don't go for it I feel incompetent, lame and hopeless.

It's very rare someone is put in a mental hospital for a long time in developed countries. Anyway, I understand your fear, but think that it would be necessary it would be only for a time. The necessary for you to be stablilized.

Yeah, I used to go up on my foot and avoid elevators as hell bc I don't want to be with a strager in such a small place. It's very uncomfortable.
I also dislike these people who talk to you invading your personal space. It seems very agressive. I try to avoid these people a lot. I think they don't do it intentionally but. I can't stand it.

Hard to list because the list just keeps getting longer, the older I get and the longer my AvPD goes untreated.

As a result of having AvPd and BPD also...I have missed out on a lot of the things that 'normal' people have had in their lives and I'm now to old to ever have them but I'm ok with that now. My biggest fear is looking like a fool in front of others. I have been humiliated so many times in my life, it remains a huge fear for me. I fear that I will have lived from birth to death without ever having experienced real joy.

I have just saw your location. You are from the beauty and green Ireland. You are lucky.

I wanted to tell you that there is no age to chase your dreams or your goals. Most of people are much more capable of making achievements than they think.
I encourage you to never give it up.

I fear that my financial situation will worsen to the point where I am unable to adequately care for my pets. I fear homelessness or an intolerable living situation will follow...

Thanks Azul, I'm afraid the reason Ireland is so green is because we get so much rain,,,summer has yet to arrive here. I have been to Spain many times, and love it, lots of sun and friendly people.
Gracais Azul.

That not necesary has to be the future. I know it is difficult to see but there are people out there who are compatible with you. is it easy? Of course, it isn't. In some way, you have to let the other person knows you.
Of course, being an avoidant, you are not going to have many people in your circle but you can make a try and meet a significant other.

Good luck!
