I have recently been diagnosed with avoidant personality disorder, but they never really gave me any advice on how to deal with it. I did some research on it and they said that medication might help. Does anyone have any idea if this is true? If so what meds?

Who diagnosed you? Therapy is a good idea.
I don't know about medication, it might treat symptoms like anxiety and depression, but it can't "fix" AvPD. |

Didn't they refer you to a therapist? Have you also been diagnosed with anxiety or depression?
