Really?... how is that possible, unless you don't have AvPD, remembering we have pre-during and after thoughts!

Avoidance isn't a tap that you can simply shut off, just like you didn't like my comments and took offence... why can't i do the same?
I'm as sensitive as you are champ, yet you being the social butterfly will have the backing of the forum.

Don't take it in an offensive way, but why does this bother you so much?

If you do your research on reliable stuff you'll see by yourself that people change and their coping mechanisms change too. You may never stop being an avoidant, but you learn to manage here and there, it isn't efortless, but it's possible. Maturity comes for all.

Reality is that you don't know the people on that thread and they don't know you. When you state they are deliberately "shutting off" their MI, you're assuming it's isn't hard for them to write a thread looking for friends. Don't presume you know other people's life, specially when all you know about them is a fake alias and an avatar image picked up by who knows what reasons. You don't know other people's struggles, don't judge them like that. Respect other's coping mechanisms.

People pretending to be avoidants won't make you more or less of an avoidant, you know.

G'day Pop and thanks for your reply.

How is "reliable stuff" (using your words respectfully) reliable when when written by those who don't have AvPD.???
Someone who doesn't have Avoidance cannot tell me what i'm feeling and how to manage in low situations.

Google Avies will give advice and will give suggestions according to their issues and most times its not inline with the person with Avoidance.
I have seen another forum get illendated by other personalities and being that Avies are fairly quiet they have basically being pushed aside due to other strong social personalities.

Avie are sensitive people, well known fact yet other personalities can triggered those with Avoidance and have no clue to the damage they are capable of.
I even know of a non avoidant on here who bragged in a PM that she was going to have a diagnosed Avie banned... in which she did!

The avie was triggered by a person who doesn't have Avoidance... here on this Avoidant forum, she was triggered by this non with the mods siding with the Non simply because she sucked up and played nice with her borderline traits.

Also, I'm no novice to AvPD;-)

When I said "reliable stuff" I meant articles about avpd, not necessarily forums.

I don't really get what's bothering you, sorry. Are you angry at non-avpds on this forum?

Did the other thread triggered you? If yes, just let others know in a way that don't trigger them too. To be honest, it made me cringe a little, but I don't want to trigger anyone by making a fuss out of it, specially if it's helpful for them in som way. I also know I have weird triggers.

Anyway, this whole forum is like walking on eggshells, let's not make it worse.

Just throwing this out....

But Snapp, you have one of the "strongest" personalities on here (especially in this subforum) and you're very hostile. Those are rather non-AVPD traits themselves, so why do you get so angry when other people demonstrate how they can work around the same inhibitions? You say a lot of things on here in a lot of threads that make the threads rather uncomfortable.

I don't think Panda was trying to invalidate your diagnosis, but actually inquiring why you're constantly trying to invalidate other people based on your own assumptions about their behaviour.

I understand those who are concerned with self-diagnosing or any kind of self-perceptions and suspicions related to mental illness, but you just downplay other people as if they were chasing a diagnosis, and you don't even know them.

Who you are talking about and what triggered what you call "The avie"?
Where are the proofs? I can tell Lathin about a person but if it is only in my mind, I'm wrong.

Feeling guilty are we Az?.. i didn't even mention you in that comment, so to pretend you don't remember is utter crap.

Maybe i should mentioned when i called you out you blamed Breakforthelight, said it was all her idea.

You can all come at me one at a time and all i can do is defend myself.

One thing to think about when you're having a go at me... are you an Avie.. are you criticizing an avie on a AvPD site when you don't even have the disorder?

Right, because this is the avoidant forum and officially diagnosed people are allowed to criticize others, like you do, and then play the victim card. Come on.

I don't understand why you keep throwing it back on other people. And you seem very bothered by the fact that other avoidants display different features and can do things you can't.

You don't realize your behaviour may push other avoidants away from the forum, do you?

You only see what you want to see don't you.

You missed that Red questioned my Avoidance which in fact was questioning my diagnoses. You missed the fact that Azul questioned me about having a Avie removed then blamed it on another person.

And i guess that you have missed the fact that i am answering questions directed at me.

So you were talking about me? Tell it.
The proofs are? I don't seem them. Only assumptions about me.
I need you put the proofs when you talk about someone. I would also like you to stop diagnosing me or others.

Is is possible you reply a question with what it is asked? I don't feel guilty about anything. Indeed, I'm really proud of myself.

I don't want to discuss. I talked about your and your friends' interventions before with you.
I only ask you for proof when you mentioned me. If you don't have any. Better to have one's mouth closed.

Put here my exactly words with this you call triggered " The Avie" or please avoid talking about me in the future and talk about avoidance. This is the topic.
And don't see my words in the threads as anythig related to you.
If you mention me, I will defend myself.
I don't like other people judging or assumptions.
P.S.: don't call me Az. My name's AzulOscuro.

You know I talked to you about your friend's interventions and you know I told you that many users sent me pms. You blamed me to create what you only create. I tried to avoid people thought the same towards you. Ah, I never said a lie.

It's sad to see a person who was your friend and is in denial all the time. People are putting you in front of the mirrow and you don't want to see the truth. I would like to talk with you about this but I know you don't want to hear it.

What i have said is the TRUTH and that you have thrown Breakforthelight under the bus.
I have no need to lie, i dont owe anyone anything and i'm not buying for friendship like you do constantly. You told me in a PM that you wanted to have a diagnosed Avie (CK2D) banned. I questioned you if you knew the full extent of what you are saying and the seriousness of it to which you back pedaled and said it was all breakforthelights idea.

Again, i have no reason what so ever to lie. What i have said is the absolute truth.

...and anyone can see by your three consecutive replies that you have been caught out and now looking for a way out.

Now, i'm sure you will continue the argument trying to gather people to support you in a way to cover up your lies catching up with you, whatever... but no matter how much you argue and continue to post you cannot take away that you pushed another person who you call friend under a bus.

Pop said a lot of what I think better than I can.

Snapp - I was trying to point out the hypocrisy in a lot of what you say to others. You make a lot of this subforum a rather hostile environment which would scare a lot of people away. I don't even like posting in here anymore because I feel uncomfortable.

I used to be the most comfortable in this section in the forum. It's where most of the issues and challenges I have with my life fit. But everytime I come in to this subforum... there are more threads that have been turned hostile from you, or new threads like this one with no point other than being hostile.

Red, Pop and others.
I will step back and just read from now on.

That's not what I, or anyone else, has said. Just well..... stop invalidating everyone. Just because someone doesn't have an official diagnosis doesn't mean that they don't have something, or that they don't deserve to feel support or to relate to others. A lot of people with issues, especially anxiety-related ones... are too damn scared to go and get a full diagnosis.

Helping them, instead of demonizing them for seeking support and trying to exclude them.... it's so much better. It might even give some people the courage to seek official help, instead of being terrified of not being believed by professionals because some random people on the internet are rejecting them too.
