Since senior year of high school, I have been making and losing friends quickly. I have never had problems with friends before and still have the same few close friends that I have had for years. These people, though, are more long distance friends so I don't see them often.
Freshman year of college I moved six hours away and made a whole group of new friends. We had the grandest time for months and then in the second semester I started to see how selfish they really were. Then, they started to turn on me. As soon as I spoke up about things, I was picked on. I switched schools due to finances and even the few friends that were supportive before stopped talking to me. So now I'm at a new school with no friends. Has this happened to anyone else? It's difficult to keep friends :/ |

Hi, frostchild!
You will have new friends in your new school. It's a question of time and a bit effort on your part. Don't be afraid of loosing them. The good ones for you will remain. Do you think this group of friends you mention you lost began to see you as different and in any way, they made you feel that you didn't belong to the group or is it possible you withdrawed from them little by little bc you see yourself as different or inadecuate? __________________ Social Anxiety and Depression.
