One of the things I hate more is people talking about someone else without the other person's presence. Even with this person's presence. I believe the correct thing is to talk to this person or talking about oneself. In another way, we can fall in many errors and ruin this person's reputation and feelings.
Bc we can do projections, bc we often believe we can read the other's mind.

They say we hate in others the part we don't like in ourselves.
I'm not an angel. Lol! I'm the first to make projections or have prejudices or try to read other people's minds.
I fight each day to avoid this kind of behaviour. It's unfair and nasty.

All you know that kind of toxic people who spread rumours about other people at work place, social group, family...
It's not a personal thread. Only a topic I'm thinking about. Everybody live, lived or will be a situation like that. Only wanting to know your view. Your role. What do you do when someone tries to tell you a rumour about another person? What do you do when the focus of this rumour is yoursel?

Do you think the person who inoculate the virus in another person is the only responsible? Are the infected people who pass the infection responsible in the same way?

Bc of my personality, it's pretty easy the virus dies in me before infecting someone else bc I'm usually a free verse. I don't belong much to any group so I have this advantage.

I am more aware of the damage this kind of negativity can produce and I plan on speaking up more against it.
I don't want to pass it on.
I can remember being bullied as a young teen and it hurt me alot.
