Guys I came across this video today.
Maybe you would like to take it a look and express your thoughts here.
He talks about how there isn’t a specific therapy for AvPD other that the one used with people with Social Anxiety and why it is. You know, avoidants don’t use to be a problem for others like other personality disorders are. And how this disorder is overlooked when other personality disorders or other mental illness co- occurs.

Interesting video. Neglect being one of the causes together with genetics. CBT being the usual therapy. And how that usually doesn't address the core beliefs.. but can address behaviours (for example some people with many posts ) Of course it can co exist with other disorders like depression, bipolar, GAD, even ''borderline'' according to Dr Grande which doesn't surprise me. I think I watched part of one of his videos on Narcissism I wonder if person centred therapy or ACT or other might be more helpful than CBT I think he has a gentle manner which is appealing, he isn't mean and judgmental (like therapists I saw grrr)

Fuzzy, could you give a link to these therapies, person centred therapy and ACT, I did the search on google but couldn’t come across them.
Thanks in advance.
