I am still really struggling with the treatment for AVPD. Its hard to talk about how I feel and relate to people. Its hard to trust. Its very frustrating to not be able to do things that other people seem to do so easily. When I try to talk about how I feel, I get very overwhelmed and either cry or scream. When I do that its embarrassing and I then I don't want to talk anymore. I am also told to be positive about life in general and my struggles with AVPD. That is very challenging. This disorder has had such a negative impact on my life.

What I keep meaning to do (I don't have AvPD but I have other disorders that make it difficult to get anywhere in therapy) is journal about what I want to discuss AND bring that journal in AND take it out of my backpack and actually go through it with my therapist until I'm able/ comfortable enough to not need to do that.
