I don't know if this is a success story or not.

I've finally realized that my diagnosis is true, that I don't have MDD or just BPD. I'm bipolar and right now it sucks. But I'm not fooling myself anymore.

I'm glad you're more aware of your situation.
I don't see anything wrong with my bipolar I diagnostic.
My emphysema diagnostic weights a little heavier.
Now, depression is something to be Very worried about.

It might be the first step to success.

I truly hope so. Now that I am honest about it, I can properly deal with it.

I am in the same boat as you. I felt like I was not bipolar in May and stopped taking my meds. Big mistake. I hope you find peace with your diagnosis.

I am In the same boat as you. I stopped taking my meds in May because I believed I wasn't bipolar and the doctor was wrong. Big big mistake. I hope you find peace with your dx. I am still trying too.

I also thought I had MDD. Horribly depressed for 8 months. Worst 8 months of my life. Antidepressants stopped working and I hit a wall. Then I was correctly diagnosed with BP II. a bit shocking at first, but now that I finally have a mood stabilizer, (aside from some depression and hypomania on occasion) I feel better than I ever have in my entire life.

Are you in new meds? Are they helping? Do you have any hypomania episodes?

You are not alone. I'm still getting used to my BPD diagnosis as well (just diagnosed in July). There is no denying I am bipolar - I'm a "text book" patient so to speak. Now I just have to deal with the disorder
