After a workout at Orangetheory that left me red in the face and sweaty, took a hot shower, washed and detangled my hair, and then followed up by a couple of temp contrasts. Was able to finish off with cold water all over the body and head. Felt really refreshed and energized for the rest of the evening.

I finally took a proper contrastive shower after swimming in the pool this morning: several switches from hot to cold and back to hold, finishing with cold. I would not say that the coldest water here is really that cold as it didn't give me that characteristic burning sensation but still, I was invigorated.
Forgot to take moisturizer with me. Oh well. __________________ Bipolar I w/psychotic features Last inpatient stay in 2018 Geodon 40 mg Seroquel 75 mg Gabapentin 1200 mg+Vitamin B-complex (against extrapyramidal side effects) Long term side effects from medications, some of them discontinued: - hypothyroidism - obesity BMI ~ 38 |

I am generally curious, what factors do you use when deciding if you want to shower?
I mean, do you do it every day because it makes you feel good, do it because you notice you smell, or do it because you're going somewhere- do you not shower if you know you are spending the day at home on your own? I'm just curious. what makes you get in the shower |

For myself, I never shower if I know that I am going to spend the day at home on my own. I also firmly believe that daily showers for people leading sedentary lifestyles are excessive and a waste of water and time.
I usually shower after exercise at moderate or high intensity and also after using the sauna and steam room.

I shower every other day unless I get dirty or sweaty then I’ll shower after. Just got a shower about 10 minutes ago and feel very refreshed!

yay! pats my own back. I took a shower today and let the hot water just run down my back. I am always afraid of running out of water. We purchased
a new water heater so I should not be worrying about that. bizi who is clean and happy. __________________ lamictal 2x a day haldol 2x a day cogentin 2x a day klonipin , 1mg at night, fish oil coq10 multi vit,, vit c, at noon, tumeric, caffeine Remeron at night, zyprexa, requip2-4mg |

Took a shower just now, and I have been slacking these past few weeks. I used to shower every night, but since I've fallen into a depression over my breakup and not feeling beautiful, I have really slacked off. I am starting to get into a routine again of at least washing my hair every other day and bought my favorite cream that makes me feel so luxurious after a shower. It's a little pricy, but it smells so good and makes me feel so clean and refreshed. You guys should try it!

good going lady!It has been about 5 days
but just got my hair retouched up the roots and may hair looks so shiny and pretty that you would think that I would shower and wash my hair more often. Nope I have to force myself into the shower. I have a bit of OCD and have to stay on point: Wash this body part then that then this and that. Once I forgot to rinse out the conditioner, I had already dried myself off but I was so pissed, because I had to get back into the shower and rinse my hair. one time I forgot to wash my ears, I just left them and used a Q-tip My hair will be good for5-6 days so I don't have to shower for quite some time.YAY! __________________ lamictal 2x a day haldol 2x a day cogentin 2x a day klonipin , 1mg at night, fish oil coq10 multi vit,, vit c, at noon, tumeric, caffeine Remeron at night, zyprexa, requip2-4mg |

I am celebrating NOT taking a shower today. I really should but I can't. I am feeling bad. After waking up at 2:00 a.m. after going to bed at 11:30 I finally got out of bed at 6 a.m. and took a show which was nice since I cleaned out the shower drain with Draino. The water went down the drain instead of collecting up to my ankles in the tub!

Got myself together enough to take a shower this evening. Feel really accomplished! I could really use some of that Draino stuff too.

Does My Body Need a Skin Care Routine? - The New York Times (requires a subscription)
I have set up an Amazon subscribe and save purchase for a Dove cleanser with hyaluronic acid after reading this article. This would be a step-up from my current body wash, the cheapest I could get at CVS. Granted, I do not shower a lot at home because I mostly shower after gym workouts, but still, a minor step towards optimization.

Last week I had to take my weekly Sunday shower on Saturday so I should take one tonight as tomorrow is too busy and I’ll have to take another one Friday, day of my dental surgery. At least I don’t have to wash my hair as I had it done yesterday at the beauty salon. Ahh the beauty of being old and not sweating as much, at least not until summer hits!

Took my daily shower tonight - I am really liking taking my showers at night now. Trying to keep up with it because I really can't go more than a day without one. But so proud of myself that I am keeping up with it!
