Hello my dearest sisters and brothers,

When I was down in the dumps, I was here every day.
Now that I feel a little better, I never find the time to come here.
Not that I don't miss you all. It's just than I don't know where to start again.

I guess I'd better come with good news.
My Clonazepam use has been drastically reduced. To zero.
I ran out for five miserable days. Five nights without sleeping.
When the prescription finally came, I wanted to get even.
So I didn't take it anymore. And I was 3 more nights without sleep. Dozing.
.
Stupid thing to do. I could have died, according to those who know.
Hell on earth is not descriptive enough. I truly don't recommend doing it.
There are better ways .
However, I'm in the 15th day without it. The threshold is 12 day to be clean.
And I'm finally sleeping..
If I had the med available I would never have done it.
Let me clarify That I was only taking 1 gram for more than 10 years. To sleep.
It's terrible to lay in bed the whole night with the body slept and the brain
totally awake.
I'm sleeping now with a cocktail of Vistaril, Melatonin and CBD. In industrial
quantities.
So I probably changed one med for another. Dunno.
At my tender age (72), I'm always gonna need something to be able to sleep.

Either way, enough of me. How are you guys doing?.
Did 'ya miss me?. I missed you all!!!.

Cheers.

Hi @pirilin its very lovely to meet you! And it’s great to hear that you are managing to sleep well without Clonazepam!
I can only imagine how awful that lack of sleep must have been.

I’ve heard CBD oil is really helpful and I’m thinking of trying it for my high anxiety levels.

I don’t think you are an ingrate at all, you seem to very much appreciate this forum and although life does get in the way sometimes, here you are asking about others, which is very lovely

I hope you have a wonderful day/night

Hi pirilin: Nice to hear from you. Thanks for the update. I take Clonazepam both for my anxiety issues as well as my tinnitus. I was on 1.5 mg. per day. However I recently upped it to 2 mg. per day. So I was interested in reading about your experiences going off of it. You mentioned you're 72. I'm 73. And, barring something unforeseen, I expect to be on Clonazepam for whatever's left of my (useless) life.

Like you, I used to be here every day. But, for a variety of reasons, I mostly just stop back now-and-again to see what's new. Once in a while I see a post I want to reply to. (Like yours.) Sometimes I don't. I don't post about myself anymore. It's all long since over-&-done with. Now I'm just awaiting the arrival of old rosin-the-bow. Hopefully, once he arrives, he & I'll be able to share a drink. I haven't had one since I went back on psych med's 2 or 3 years back. Dang... my old memory just isn't what it used to be... oh well. Best wishes...

Hi there, pirilin! It's good to hear from you. What a relief that you made it through Klonopin withdrawal fairly safely. Sure, I missed you - you bring a wonderful personality to the forum.

Goodness, Skyzeeks, you're only 73. I don't consider that terribly aged. At any rate, it always good to see you around here. You also bring wonderful personality to this forum.
