That's great news, HALLIEBETH! Relief and good sleep is a blessing.

May I just suggest that you never be tempted to take more than prescribed of a benzo. I think the aim with them is to use as little as possible, and hopefully for as short of a period of time as possible. If I could be off of my Klonopin I'd be very happy. I often refer to being in Klonopin prison. My psychiatrist won't take me off. I do have Ativan as a prn, but I try very hard to rarely use it, nowadays.

Super happy to hear this news! I hope this puts you on a better trajectory. I totally agree with BirdDancer about trying to minimize reliance on benzos. I've been on them at various times. They can be a bear to come off. So, stick to that schedule with them. Valium is definitely not a drug where if one is good, five is better. Best to just stick with the one. Be well.

Fantastic !! It’s takes a bit of time to really settle in and help calm things down overall.

You sure did need to get sleep

So glad to hear the Valium worked for you. I've been taking it for a couple of years - a low dose of 2.5 mg per day. I know you should only be on benzos for a little while but this works for me and my doctor said that since it's such a low dose and as long as I don't increase it on my own, I should be okay. That tiny bit works wonders for my anxiety.
