Hello,

I really don't know what to try next AD. I've social phobia, GAD, bipolar 2.

Tried zoloft, lexapro, cymbalta, effexor. First 2 didn't work.

Cymbalta had severe side effects.

Effexor raised my blood pressure and pulse. I've problems with blood pressure.

Any suggestions? Paxil, wellbutrin + buspar? Last one seems more attractive
Hugs from:

I have found Wellbutrin effective for more than a decade. ALmost nothing helps me. It may well raise your bp, though. Why not just treat the bp? That's easy. The hard thing is treating depression. Just my thoughts...

I had come to the end of the line with AD's. Things were bad. I asked my pdoc for ECT. She agreed, but said let's try one more option. She prescribed Pristiq and with a few days the depression lifted. That was almost 2 years ago and the Pristiq is still working.

Good luck to you! Somehow, there is a med that will help you

Hi signs. What is currently your primary symptom? Anxiety, depression, or both? I can't really suggest an AD, because I can't take them, but I will encourage you to really buckle down on using coping tools. No medication has ever been more effective at treating my anxiety than therapeutic coping tools. It took me a while to accept that, but when I did, I finally made positive progress.

Of the medications that have helped me a bit with anxiety...Seroquel XR.

My main symptom is severe anxiety. I'm om 75mg effexor but I'm afraid to up the dose because of bit higher blood pressure and pulse problems. But maybe it's symptom of severe anxiety?

Anxiety has been the worst symptom for me. Horrible. After many years of this med or that med, my pdoc prescribed Trilafon. A miracle! My anxiety is now very well controlled.

Buspar can help with anxiety, and I think Wellbutrin works well for depression. It has raised my blood pressure, but I take meds for that.
