So after tonight. I realized my injection isn't high enough but it's at the highest dose/lowest interval it can be at. Is there an AP prn? to add when I'm alone. I can't take seroquil. I don't want a benzo or something that will put me to sleep due to paranoia but I have to do something. I'm restarting my AD tonight.

Yeah, I've used zyprexa, haldol, and risperdal PRN and they've all worked pretty well. Some docs might be reluctant to prescribe an ap PRN for some reason though, but it's definitely something to fight for if your pdoc is one of those.

Thanks I'm going to ask. I just have to be painfully honest.

A PRN antipsychotic is extraordinarily helpful for me. Mine does happen to be Seroquel, but as others said, there are other possibilities. Like others, Haldol has been used for me for extreme mania control, in the past. I also had a hospital psychiatrist say that Zyprexa should always be on the table as an "emergency" medication. [It works great for my bipolar disorder, but is very unfriendly for me in terms of side effects, so a no-go as a "regular" med.]

So I'm going to ask for a stronger injection hopefully they have the other version too. As I like abilify but it's not strong enough. I don't know what to do about the anxiety and possible depression. Im just not good at taking meds.

My pdoc uses APs PRN. I stay on my mood stabilizer (depakote) all the time, but my pdoc & my partner keep close tabs on me & let me know when I'm in need of my AP. The weigh gain & other side-effects are a problem. I know PRN use isn't a possibility for some people, though, so stick to your pdoc's advice.
