Does anyone have any experience with amoxapine that they'd like to share?
A previous pdoc of mine wanted to put me on it but I said no at the time. I'm considering bringing it up to my APRN as I've been in this depressive episode for longer than I'd like. I am thinking about some other meds too but there's not a whole lot out there about amoxapine.

I've not been on amoxapine itself but I was on loxapine which is an AP that metabolizes into amoxapine. It did help my depression although I was only able to be on it for a short time because of a problem with the loxapine part.
I hope you have success.

Hi Sapien, I don't have any experience with amoxapine, but I read about it and it sounds like it may be a good med. It must be one of the older ones, because it's a tricyclic.

Hello Sapien. I had never heard about the medication you mentioned, so have no experience with it. However, I am always interested in learning about new meds. Wishing you the best if you go on it. Please give us updates on how it works, if you do.
