I have what doctors thought was restless leg syndrome, because my toes wiggle constantly. They make it so I can't go to sleep. I also click my teeth when I'm trying to go to sleep. I don't grind my teeth, thankfully. I just click them gently together. My psychiatrist -- and myself independently of her -- figured that it's tardive dyskenisia. She prescribed Austedo because the new medicine for that is not covered by my insurance -- it would cost me $8,000 for a 28 day supply! That's outrageous!! These pharmaceutical companies should never be allowed to charge so much!! Anyway, I've been taking Austedo for a week, and it has not helped at all. About every third day I am up either the whole night, or most of the night.
Anyone else have success in eliminating tardive dyskenisia? |

@wanttoshare welcome to MSF. I hope you get better results over a longer period. Have you talked to the doc or the pharmacist about how long it should take to see results and how much of a difference it can make?
Austedo advertises a free 30 day supply and reduced costs in the future at their website https://www.austedo.com/tardive-dysk...ancial-support CANDC [If you want me to see your reply to this post please include @CANDC in your message - not in requoting my message] __________________ Super Moderator Community Support Team "Things Take Time" |
