How would I feel on half a miligram? It was prescribed for muscle, joint and jaw pain, but I don't want to be too sedated to take care of my kids since I seem to have just enough energy right now to get through the day with them.

Just half a milligram? I bet you will be okay to take care of the kids. I know lots of people on Klonopin that take a lot more than you are and they are okay, act normal.

Break it in half and see how you operate on that! I break my 1mgs in fours sometimes if I'm at work and need to pay attention to detail. It has a sedating effect as well as musle relaxant and antianxiety.

Klonopin is actually not one of the strongest benzodiazepines so I think you'll be fine to take care of your kids and tend to your daily routines. The dose range for Klonopin is up to 8mg at a time. Naturally everyone tolerates medications differently. I personally tend to be sensitive to meds and handled 1mg of Klonopin without difficulty. Good luck!

I take 2mg at night just to take the edge off so I can sleep. It works good and doesn't make me all loopy

Meds work different for everyone. It would be smart to see if you can have someone over - that you trust - and see how it affects you. Then you will be able to see for yourself. The visitor could help you with the children if you feel sort of groggy. Also once you get adjusted to a med like this it tends to not be as sedating.

Benzos can be very effective and helpful, but they are all addictive and using the least level that can work for you is always smart. Meds are tools and it is wise to be sure a tool does only what you need it to do so that the tool does not slip and cut you. I speak from experience

Hope things get better for you.
