Was told by manager that my air would be fixed tomorrow. That is one problem taken care of. The other problem is, is that i got a notice that i have an unauthorized visitor living with me...i have a family friend who stops by in the morning to wake me up and stay awake and sometimes just for coffee. Sometimes after work he will make dinner. This friend even helps the neighbors. Apparently a neighbor reported him as an unauthorized guest to the management. Got a notice from them that i have an unauthorized guest. Since this person does not occupy the apartment, does not spend the night, i want to write them an email stating the above and be done with it. What do you all think? I am so tired of having to deal with petty crap like this. I am moving as soon as i get fulltime work i will be exercising my right to break the lease and will move into veteran's housing where stupid stuff like this doesn't happen. I know this is a little thing but i am trying to focus on my job search as well as recover from the sui attempt i did a couple of months ago. I am trying to work through my anger before i write an email to the mgmt stating the above in a factual and nutral manner sans the info about moving. Could use some support and or feedback on this if you have a moment to respond.

Professionally, written with only the facts listed above (No need to further your explaintion, as that is your privacy)

I would email them immediately before situation gets out of control.

If this grows into something bigger - can deal with it then.
At this time it is Not the Mangements problem - BUT those that had nothing to do with their time - and chose to start a problem

If you can try not to get upset, as I said that person has no life and so miserable in themselves that they want to bring people down with them.

This really should take care of the problem

I agree with starlite. Your friend is just a visitor (like a volunteer caretaker for you and others in the community) and you can provide his address if necessary to prove that he doesn't live with you. Get him "authorized" with them because he doesn't need to be on anyone's lease.

Already sent an email, professional, nutral, non defensive to the management, the housing authority, and the case mgmt...these agencies meet once a month to discuss issues like these. It so happens the meeting is tomorrow. I am confident that this issue will be dropped at the meeting. I agree that the neighbor is a retarded old alchoholic with no life. These are facts, not me venting. None the less, this situation has been taken down to "petty nucence status. And appreciate the feedback.

Crayons are cool. I have a set of them that came with an art kit, but they're just repackaged to look like they're for adults. Same material though. I think they call them "wax pastels" haha.

The unique smell, the texture on paper, the feeling that you can go within or outside of the lines and make something somewhat permanent, impervious to water. It's a good feeling no matter what your physical age. Being young at heart is what matters.

I guess I'm in art therapy, sort of because I have 2 art classes this quarter. Drawing and sculpture. Sculpture is good for chipping away my frustration. Drawing is where my T says I should use it as an opportunity to get over my perfectionism. This is going to be hard. I spent 5 hours on the last assignment. At least I got full credit for it, but still, highly frustrating and going cross eyed trying to get it just right.

Glad you're being more assertive. It's one of the hardest things for us...to advocate for ourselves. Why? We already feel inferior, depressed, or like we deserve bad treatment due to past trauma and/or abuse. But we don't. We deserve good lives and other people to treat us with respect because we are kind, compassionate, and thoughtful of others' feelings. Keep on working in therapy. The results are tangible and long lasting if we continue to practice our new skills.

Got a voice message that " mgmt does not want me here". Case mgr said she would help me find a new place to live. And because i have no respect for the mgmt, i am not taking it personally, have no anger about it. I hate moving, but i hate mgmt more because of the way they treat their tennants. Three of my neighbors are drug addicts, one with a drug distributing felony charge and they renewed his lease. I could go on but it is pointless. When i look around, i am going to make sure the apartments are professionally managed. Everyone here has mental illness including myself, but if non mentally ill people lived here, they would not put up with this crap! Hopefully, i will get veteran's housing...veterans do not put up people who do not treat them fairly. Anyway, i will keep you all posted as i make my transition.

I hope you find a better managed place to live. I think even though moving is a pain, you'll be better off in a better managed place. Good luck to you in finding just the right place to live.

the manager is not after me, she just does not do her job, and she obviously does not like her job plus she has no people skills. Looking forward to leaving in a couple months.
