My husband Jimmy just started Abilify last night and we are both very excited and anxious about the possibilties...until I stared reading some user reviews of this med. Wondering what others have experienced in first few weeks.

I am on abilfy and haven't noticed any side effects that they have mentioned on the pamphlets and to be honest I haven't noticed any effect it has on me. But I am on 10 different meds so maybe that's why I don't notice the changes from up and down???? I hope it works well for him.

I take Abilify. I have taken as high as 30mg to a low of 10mg. Right now I take 15mg a day. When I take 30mg, I get akathisia (restless need to move legs). I noticed a big improvement in my mood within two weeks.

I was on Abilify for quite a while and I never had any side effects at 10mg. I went up to 15mg once and I got the anxiety/restlessness but it wasn't horrible and stopped right away as soon as I backed off the dose. I didn't have any scary side effects. Good Luck!!

I am taking it again and not noticing much in the way of side effects and it always worked great for me. I am bipolar with anxiety and PTSD. It smoothed me out mood wise. When I first took it I thought it started working in about a week. Good luck.
