Hi my family doc says that he doesn't think I'm bipolar but I took this test and it says that I have sever sitoms of manic bipolarness. And than I took another test that says that bipolar likely!

Well msarvey, it's certainly not for me to say, but your best bet is to see a P-doc. With the two examples you cited, I have some experience. My FNP (basically a family doc) "diagnosed" me when in the throes of a major depressive phase. Her "screening" for bipolar consisted of 3 words: "So, no highs?" I had no idea what she was talking about, and was so busy just trying to keep my s*** together that I said, "um, no?" 2 1/2 years of straight ADs in various dosages/combos/changes proved otherwise. I've also taken online tests that suggest I score highly for BP I. In point of fact, I'm neither MDD or BP I, but BP II. Which is to say, both sources (because, in the first case, it's not their specialty, and in the second because... well, it's fraught with all kinds of lack of nuance...) are inherently limited. Someone who specializes in these kinds of things and knows the right questions to ask and how to investigate further into unclear areas is going to be your best bet. Good luck!

Edited to say... catching up on other posts, I now realize you are 11. Please forgive my ****. In reference to your post in the other thread -- which has a lot more to go on -- I'd have to agree with Vickie in Phoenix. Because, one, it seems early to say and two, there are legitimate reasons for your feelings at this time.

You might want to re-visit your concerns with your doctor and allow him to know about the two tests you took and their outcomes. Don't sweat the small stuff. Good luck and sending good thoughts your way. phoenix47
