I have lost this battle with mania. I went on facebook where all my family and closest friends are. Told them mania had taken ccntrol. Told them they would do several things...delete my message for damage control purposes so it doesn't reflect badly on our oh so perfect family or get a family rep to talk some sense into me...ha. Told them if they called me angry my anger would make their anger look pathetic. My mania is barely containable. Now i am just lay down. I will be up all night again. On prescribed meds no alchohol or street drugs. Now i know what crazy feels like. Not suicidal so no hotlines. Maybe they should have manic hotlines. Let me see what other chaos i can create.
Thanks for this!

Dear Nucking Futz,

I can see you are up. It's 3:30 AM. I am up but I don't have mania. Sorry you are going through this. Can you delete your message on Facebook or is it too late? Certainly those around you will understand and consider your position. Take Care and don't worry about it too much. phoenix47
Sending good thoughts your way.

hey there Nucking Futz,

I been thru mania too and know how it is like, Whatever mistakes U had done try not to dwell into em as Im trying too. Coz normally when I did something bad when Im at my hyper state and if I dwell into em I would become depressed. Its the stupid and unpresent vicious cycle that polar bears would goes thru .
yet note that You are not alone ok ! (((((((Nucking futz)))))

My brother had manic depression and I remember what it was like for him - alot of careless spending sprees. Hopefully your family knows not to take it personal. Does vigorous exercise help at all? I know you have a sense of humor - I bet your eyes look something like the cat on your avatar LOL. I really hope you feel better soon.

Yes, feel free to add me to your friends list. I was able to delete the messages. My sister called to ground me. That helped a lot too. My eyes are a lot redder but just as big as my avitar, oh hair looks about the same as the cats. Waiting for pdoc to call. I feel so glad you all are here. Pdoc just called and approved an increase in seroquil! Yeah!
Thanks for this!

Glad your doctor called and adjusted your meds. BTW my smile is almost as big as my avatar. I used to sell furs(don't kill me please) 20 yrs ago and my then manic brother called me and wanted to buy a jacket - I could get it for him half price. I told him to come the next day but, Nooo he wanted it immediately. So he when to a competitor and paid full price. He also bought one of those Model T cars convertable - he would drive downtown with the top down wearing his fur jacket, proud as a peacock. I'm just poking friendly fun at him - I loved him though. Unfortunatley he's no longer living. No he didn't die from manic depression

Sorry you're having a rough time, but I'm glad you have enough insight to reach out for help. Hopefully the adjustment in meds will rein in the mania, but if you still feel the need to go to the hospital, then do.

Nucking futz come off the ceiling, slowly, that's right. Have you got someone who can check up on you? I know when I get too far gone I sort of stop being aware of when I need to go to the emergency room. An extra, less affected brain has great value at such times. IF the seroquell can't kick in iin time, you might want to go anyway just to make sure you are someone else doesn't end up on the wrong end of this mania. Take care and take a few hugs with the pills to wash them down!
Thanks for this!

I swore i was 30 again for a bit! Thanks for the follow up. Pdoc says to call him in a few days if the seroquil doesn't help.

The meds for the most acute mania are absolutely fantastic!!!! With Seroquel I notice tremendous changes overnight. However there are *many* poven, great bipolar meds in addition to Seroquel that can help you. You may feel better on bipolar combinations, but the great news is, with patience, they DO work!! Plz remember your manic episode(s) are temporary.
