I was feeling somewhat depressed for some time so my T called my pdoc to suggest that he increase my antidepressant. Pdoc calls to tell me to increase my Lexapro from 10mgs to 15mgs. This was 6 weeks ago. I am happy to say that I am no longer feeling depressed, but for the past 2 weeks I've been getting less and less sleep. I go to bed like clockwork at 11:30 but was wide awake this morning by 3 and this is on Ambien CR which has always worked well for me, but hasn't been for the past 2 weeks. I'm concerned about heading into mania. I don't think I'm manic as I also take Geodon, but most importantly I'm not spending (thank god!). So I've decided to alternate the days of 10mgs and 15mgs to see how that goes. But if I still have insomnia, then I'm going to go back to my original dosage of 10mgs. I've read the med insert for Geodon and it states that depressed mood could be a side effect, so I'm trying to find that happy medium by alternating days without sacrificing much needed sleep and not putting me in a funk.
