So for about 2 years I was depressed and was very obsessive. Nothing worked I tried every psyciatric drug even ECT. Then suddenly one day, I snapped out of it, wanted to work out for excessive periods of time, spending too much money. I was so full of energy. I was then diagnosed bipolar and given samples of a new drug called Asenapine. I still slept about 5 hours a night but with 2 mg of clozapam and 300mg of trazadone. This went on for about 2 weeks. Now I'm very tired and having suicidal thoughts again. Am I going through depression or am I just burnt out.

Ouch! That landing hurts! It sounds like it might be depression again, though it's sometimes hard to tell one from the other. tell your Pdoc and make sure you get the help you need, OK? Take care.

MatE,

This sounds familiar all the way down to the ECT. You are definitely cycling. There are specific meds that can be prescribed for this. Check in with your doctor on a weekly basis until they get a handle on this. Stay safe and check back in. Welcome to PC!

Hi

I had a silmilar experience with mania followed by severe depression.Obsessional thinking has also been a problem for me.

With time, things get better, though and hopefully, a more normal mood can be reached.
