It is good. I'm kind of missing the high feeling though, but i'm glad I didn't crash as low this time because it would be hard. I kind of feel as though i should be able to figure my own moods out and i don't want to take the medication anymore.

Just remember that this is not something you can control. Medication is a must for most of us. It's not something I like, either, but I know that if I wasn't taking anything...I would be a mess. ![]()

don't want to be on the medication but also don't want to have the effects of being off it either. I'm confused.

Medication is a touchy issue. No one wants to take meds. No one wants to deal with their side effects. Everyone wants to be off their meds at times. Everyone wants to have control over their minds and moods without the aid of meds. And everyone misses the highs.
You are not alone. I hope you continue to take your meds. Because they can help a great deal. They can give you a chance at a better more fulfilling life.

I would second Berries and Onlymedid. There iis this sense of "I should be able to take care of my moods without meds" and well meaning normals have a way of reinforcing this, because they CAN manage their moods. WE CAN NOT.
Unlike you I don't miss my highs, but I know that there are many who do (my highs were just like nervous, hysterical lows). I also know it is easy to tell yourself that you are stupid or weak for not managing the ups and downs without medicine. Nothing is further from the truth, Crystal. It's just in that one area we are a bit hamstrung. Not taking the meds won't change that one bit. Huggsss, and I hope that you can come to a good place when it has to do with your disorder, meds, and yourself, hon. |
