Hi everyone, I found this site today and I'm a little nervous...I was in a couple of bipolar groups on facebook but there has been a lot of drama and trolling and I don't feel safe posting in them anymore. I'm hoping it is better here.

I have bipolar II, PTSD, gen. anxiety dis., and insomnia. I'm on disability, and I am going through a divorce. That's a long story, in short, we separated in 2003 but were still friends until the end of Jan. this year and I finally went in and got the first papers filed for the divorce. He was my only friend so I'm currently trying to build up a new support system. I was recently accepted into a county-run program that will help me with some of my issues, but am still waiting to get started with it. So for right now online support is almost the only thing I have. My family is supportive in their own way, they don't mind helping me out with things, but I can't really talk to them about my mental health issues, and sometimes they trigger memories of the past which can trigger my depression and anxiety, so I don't spend a lot of time with them.

I have a cat named Grizabella, that is why I have grizmom as my user name, but you can call me J.J. I hope I can find support here, and I hope that I can be of some help to all of you.
