Just wondering about other peoples experiences of this drug. I have been getting real bad fluid retention with it. My abdomen is so bloated it hurts!! I also have been getting bad indigestion.
My only choice I believe is to stop the medication as I am just getting more and more bloated. As I am eating a bit more sensibly I thought maybe a little bit of the bloated tummy was due to weight gain however I dont think this is the case

What does the doctor say about you stopping this med? I think you need talk to your doctor about your meds before going off of them so you don't get sick.

Well my Doc doesnt know I have stopped it, I have lost 2.5 kgs in the last few days so its obviously doing something to me physically I feel a lot better. However my mood isnt the best its a no win situation really. I did talk to my support worker about stopping it and she advised me against it stating that the Doc had said mirtazipine would not do that to you (obviously it did)

Mirtazipine has been a miracle drug for me, I am pretty drug resistant but this one got rif of my depression and panic disorder very quickly. Remember there are quite often side effects in the first few weeks but they disappear overtime. The one thing I will say about the first four weeks of taking it was that I had strong suicidal ideations brought on by the drug, but they passed as well. Now I wouldnt be without my mirtazapine for all the tea in China.
