I hope that by cleaning up around here I can reduce some of my stress.

Wish me luck.

I always have trouble getting started so what I will do sometimes is set the oven timer or egg timer for 10 minutes and see how much I can get done in 10 minutes. It becomes a little game and it's actually kinda fun! Good luck cleaning.
Thanks for this!

Good luck cleaning. I don't like it, but we all have to do and I usually feel better when I'm done. With my girls clothes that don't fit - I send them to the 2nd hand store if they're in good condition(they're picky) and then I send everything else to the Diabetes Association and they come and pick it up. Good luck.

In the Spring a fuller crimson comes upon the robin's breast; In the Spring the wanton lapwing gets himself another crest;

In the Spring a livelier iris changes on the burnish'd dove;
In the Spring a young man's fancy lightly turns to thoughts of love.

Tennyson

Fly away, to the young man's fancy~~~
Spring clean some other day, it will stay...Dream away

Seven hours... one room... what a hoarder I am.

I parted with a lot of clothes. I am donating things that my Lithium body has grown out of, donating stuff that the kids have outgrown, tossed things that were in bad repair, organized the closet and my drawers, and made the bed (complete with pillows), put pictures on the wall and officiall unpacked the last of the bedroom boxes that have been sitting there since we moved in 14 months ago.

I didn't think it would take that long. I dread the day we get around to the garage.

I will be working on the kids rooms and the bathrooms this week, and downstairs next week.

Phew...

That's great you were able to get so much done. I always feel so accomplished when I actually do something good.

Wow! Great job I rarely get that much done in one go...I try to do just a couple of things at a time. Good luck getting everything else done!

I don't know if it is spring cleaning, maybe regular cleaning but I finally(!) vacuumed around my lazyboy, got rid of all the old catalogs. shelved the books on the floor and put down a blanket behind the chair for my poor dog who often has been sleeping on a pile of books and junk. I still have a little carpeting to vacuum but I am taking a short break.... later I'll tackle the kitchen floor!
