Hi guys,
do you know much about "the recovery team"? I had an app with a counsellor today who said she couldnt help me and is referring me to the recovery team. |

i think the recovery team could be a group of people who consult with each other to decide what should be done next, so it isnt just one opinion, and no one misses something, but that is just a guess

It's an UK Health thing; don't know where in England you are but here's a couple listings; London area, Kent, etc.:

If I had to guess i would say recovery team is a therapist and a prescribing doc. Having a team always worked for me, way better than seeing a psychiatrist who was fulfilling both roles. Twice I had therapists that were frankly crappy but my nurse practitioners were awesome.

I am under a recovery team - I have been for 4 years.
In my care package I have a social worker, and a psychiatrist. Its just really like your counsellor really, you get to talk about things that are bothering you, and get help with current problems, and they keep a close eye on your mental wellness etc. If you want more info please feel free to PM me.
