Hi,

As most of you know, I developed an allergy to lamictal and the pdoc changed me to lithium. She had me not only quit taking lamictal, but took me off trazadone as well. I have made amazing progress with the lithium but have noticed a depression stealing over me during the last week.

I saw my counselor today. In addition to being a regular counselor, Nancy is a Master Addictions Counselor, so when I told her what is happening, she explained that I am having a "chemical rebound depression", which should let up in about two more weeks. She said the depression is the result of going off the lamictal and trazadone.

I thought I'd share this with you in case any of you ever has a problems like this. I'm so glad to know what in the world is going on with me and that the depression should ease soon.

Thank you, Eva. I do get quiet when the depresssion rears it's ugly head, don't I? Hmmmmmmm..... I'll have to remember that.

This has the panic stirred up, too. What a combo! Maybe when it's all over the colitis will calm down. I can always dream and I can always hope!
