Hi everyone...I believe this is my first post here. Today I received a tentative diagnosis of Bipolar I, because of my issues with depression AND I have been through one manic (or psychotic) episode. I am frustrated that it took them about a month of me staying in the hospital to diagnose me, but I'm now glad we can figure out how to deal with my issues.

Not too long ago (maybe a couple weeks?) I posted on the Borderline board because I thought I'd get diagnosed with that. But I only have a few borderline traits, and I've heard that bipolar and borderline are often diagnosed as each other by mistake.

So I guess this is my little intro here. Hello! I have been a member for quite a bit, first time coming here. I hope to learn about my disorder quite a bit. If anyone has any sources that are good for learning about bipolar, that'd be great.

Hi

Hopefully you'll get the right diagnosis so you can start getting the right treatment for you.

Hi there and welcome! You'll soon realise what a supportive forum this is. It's very active and there really is so much you can learn from each other.
Don't worry about your diagnosis (as in, don't stress about it); it's easier to have an explanation than not know!
