Does anyone else out there get just slow and stupid when you're not at your best?

I have been a complete ditz lately. I walked into a doorjam this morning. I feel just... slow...

This is the opposite of thoughts racing. This is like my thoughts are all on vacation indefinitely.

I can't function when my brains are pudding like this! ARRRRGGHHHH!

That is all. :P

Oh yes, I completely understand and get that way! Inability to concentrate is a big problem with me.
It's really hard.
My husband keeps asking if I need anything and I tell him, "Yes...a new brain".

Are you taking any mood stabilizers or anti-psychotics? Some of them can make your brain mush.

I recently got a DSiXL that came with Brain Age Express: Math and I've been doing it every day since I got it. Seems to help out a bit, which I can tell b/c it keeps track of your times and gives you a graph of your progress.

I can relate to your feelings, especially when I was on Seroquel IR. Made my brain feel like mush. Switched to Seroquel XR and felt so much better.

When I tried seroquel it turned me into a ZOMBIE. I had never been so sleepy in my life! Maybe I'll try it again someday, but my first attempts didn't go so well.

Yeah, I'm on a low dose of Abilify (5mg) and a medium/low dose of trileptal (600mg once a day). I'm not sure that that's causing it, though.

I'm in school... I can't afford to be stupid.

Did you start one of those meds recently? Could just be a reaction to that. I do the same things sometimes but I always blame it on being blonde, lol.

Well, I skipped the abilify for three days last week and started taking it again on Friday... I've been taking the trileptal for about a month.

Well, if you were fine before the medication and now you are having issues, you may want to discuss that with your pdoc. That could indicate a coordination problem which is a side effect of the medications. That can be dangerous especially if you are driving and slow to react. Maybe a different combination of medications would work better. I am on Lamictal and Geodon and have no side effects for either.
