On the road to recovery, it is important to understand that we should not try to tackle all of our problems as once. Recovering takes a long time, and to not lose sight of the overall goal, a good coping technique is to make daily goals that can help us hold ourselves accountable for our own recovery.

Daily goals are not meant to make us feel bad about ourselves if we don't achieve them. They should be small, achievable goals that are easy, to start off with. As you progress in your recovery, you can add an overall weekly goal, a monthly goal, or even a yearly goal. Make sure to limit the yearly goals to 2 or 3, so you're not overwhelmed.

Feel free to share yours as well, or if you need support and are struggling with your goals.

Here are my goals (as of now):

Daily: Make appointment with psych.
Weekly: Get kidney mass thing, taken care of.
Monthly: To meditate more.
Yearly: To work on my reactions to other peoples emotions.
Thanks for this!
