Does taking Lithium make you sleepy when you first start it?

Amandas256 when I was on it I always took at night and I wouldn't say it may me super sleepy (not like serequel), but I wouldn't take it in the am because it was a bit sedating for me.

when i first started taking lithium it did make me sleepy,my body adjusted after awhile and it dose not anymore.

I slept and napped alot when I took Lithium.

My pdoc has me take it in the evening, so if it makes me sleepy, it hasn't been a problem for me.

I would say that, at first, it has a propensity to make one tired. It wears off after a few weeks though. Just stick with it.
