Hi everybody
About 3 months ago my daughter was diagnosed with bipolar. Her life was desperate and I was desperate too. I just want you to know that since her diagnosis and subsequent support and medication her life is so much better. When I first joined psych central I was so upset and lots of people contacted me with messages of hope. Well this is my thankyou to you all.
I know that there will be episodes in the future but I am full of admiration for my daughter, she has co-operated with the treatment and really helped herself - who could ask for more.
I really hope that someone who is feeling rough tonight will feel just a little bit better after reading this message. I hope tomorrow and the rest of your tomorrows you will feel better.

Yay for you and your daughter!
Keep checking in with us. Getting the right meds is the hardest, so if you've managed to sort that, congrats - it can only get better from here.

Thank you for posting this. I'm so glad that your daughter and you are doing well. Indeed, this post is an inspiration for me. Hard work and an optimistic point of view...those things are so important to recovery.
