Hi, when someone comes home, are there home health nurses that can help the family with their loved ones that come home from the hospital to help during the day or night? My friend's parents are elderly and wife works a lot, just thinking of ways to help when he comes home!

Thanks!

I'm sure there is. Perhaps contact a few companies in your area and see if they provide this service. There are also usually mental health organizations that can point you in the right direction. If there isn't then speak to the hospital and they can give you contacts. If you search mood disorder or bipolar then the area you live, it will normally bring up support groups etc. and they can be a useful resource. Hope that helps.

Check with the case worker for your friend. Should be a social worker. Insurance probably won't cover it though; could be quite expensive.
