it's been months since i've told my mom that i really think i'm bipolar and i still haven't gotten any help. when i try to talk to her about it she just says get over it and that i'm being a drama queen. any advice on how to make her believe me?

Hi decembergroovae; I'm sorry that your mom isn't listening to your concerns. Perhaps you could try writing a letter to her and attached a checklist of BP symptoms. This is one from the NAMI website http://www.nami.org/Template.cfm?Sec...ontentID=13108 You could also try speaking to a school counselor once school starts. If this still doesn't work is there another adult family member that could help you speak to your mom? Is there any family history of mental illness? Glad you decided to post and Good Luck!

Blueoctober has good ideas for you. One other might be to keep a mood diary to show your counselor.
