I thought I was feeling better, but it looks like I am just on another upswing.

No worries, I'll be down again by midweek.

This is the week of the month that I call "psych week". I have a call from my patient navigator who was assigned to me at the hospital, an appointment with my T, a DBT session and an appointment with my p-doc.

I htink I'll be covered no matter what happens this week. LOL
Thanks for this!

I hope the week goes well for you and your mood stays tolerable! Hopefully those appointments will help.

What's up - how are you feeling?
I've been very fortunate to be more or less stable, with the odd few hours of real depression. It still gets me down, but I'm glad the timespan is limited.
Have the proffessionals in your life been able to assist?

I think I am OK. I am in a funk from the bad weather here. I had a phone call with my patient navigator which was helpful. Ugh. I just want to crawl into bed until this rain is over.

I am always interested when people write about mood swings that last minutes, hours or even just a couple of days. I am considered rapid cycling because I have 4 or more cycles a year normally. My episodes are always extended unless I intervene although it doesn't always work very quickly with depression. My hypomania lasts between one and two weeks while depression can last months. Does it help at all to tell yourself "this won't last" when you have those short mood swings?

Hey, hope you're doing okay. Mood swings suck. Sorry you're going through this. Glad you have a lot of support this week. Sending you . Take care of yourself.

When I was reading your original post, I had some REALLY old lyrics come to mind. "She flies through the air with the greatest of ease, that daring young gal on the flying trapeze."
Yet you have established a great support system, us including, so remember that you have a strong safety net established. You are reaching out and seeking help. Good for you. Keep up the good work. Hope you bask in the sunlight of serenity soon.

Isn't there a term for "very fast" cycling? Ultradian or something like that? That's me to a T
