Ok, I haven't posted in a few days, I apologize...

But here it goes...

I went to try to sell my wedding rings today after work. I went to what I "THOUGHT" would be a good buyer..TOTALLY WRONG!!

I have four rings. (2 mine, 2 my ex's) I PAID OVER $1,000+ for them!

I got offered $78 for all four..Im PISSED AND INSULTED!!

Anyone want to buy them? I have pics and details and paperwork to prove everything...

I really needed the money from these, but at $78 I had to pass no matter what. That is ****ing ridiculous...

Im frustrated...

I'd definitely be looking around. The price of gold these days and stones. Even a pawn shop would give you a better price than that! What a rip off! I guess he thought you didn't have any brains. Oh, I hate that!

or do a "for sale" ad. you might get more for them that way. many companies-pawn shops, jewelers, etc. won't give you the real value of the rings including the diamonds.

Just be careful with craigslist, okay? There was a guy here who got the sh** beat out of him badly from a couple of people that answered a craigslist ad. Maybe have someone there with you when you have interested buyers looking?

As a rule anything you buy like rings, necklaces ect. are only worth 5 to10 % of what you paid for them . I would try ebay you may get lucky.

I was in dire need of money a few years ago and learned that jewelry does not retain value whatsoever. I had several nice pieces of jewelry and two diamonds and went to two pawn shops and could only get $50 for the set. I did much better pawning my gun and selling model horses on ebay.
