I totally agree that the longer you wait the harder it will be. Maybe your mom can be there with you to help explain. At the very least, you should let them know that you're not going to be able to pay the rent until you get your finances in order. I know how hard this is..you don't have a lot of choices. But it's not going to get better if you don't make a choice. They might be upset for a while, but if they really care about you, they'll come around. Lots and lots of hugs to give you the strength to go forward.
