I just received an e-mail this morning that the horse I was "virtual" fostering had to be euthanized 2 weeks ago. I checked their website; his pictures have been taken down and there's nothing written about him......that bothers me. This is the e-mail I sent the rescue group:

That's terrible news.

I checked your website. Have Buddy's pictures been taken down already? If Eddie isn't being fostered already my cheques can go towards him. I think I have sent you cheques up to and including Feb 2011 if that's not correct let me know and I will send you some more.

Thanks again for all your work that you do.

Sad horse news

blueoctober! That would bother me too. I don't know... it just seems like they should leave them up for awhile and/or make some kind of... something(!) Also want to say kudos to you for this caring thing you do.
Thanks for this!

Poor horse. I'm glad you loved him from afar and helped him out.

We have horses and I can completely understand how you feel. One of the things I dread the most is having to make a tough decision someday about one of my horses. The sad reality today is that there are tons of horses that have become 'pasture ornaments' and plenty that are not well taken care of. The fact that you made a financial commitment to care for a horse that you do not have around you is wonderful.

Kudos tot you for fostering an animal.
I am sorry you are going through this tough time - it's never easy having to hear about an animal (Or anything for that matter) crossing over the bridge. I truly can relate, having experienced this unfortunate type of experience on numerous occassions.

I also agree that they should have left his pictures up - kind of as a legacy to him. I'm sure he didn't have an easy life and deserves the accolade.

Hugs my friend and PM me any time.

I'm sorry to hear this blueoctober. I know how much you love horses and that is so great of you to foster another horse. Again I am sorry for the terrible news. Big hugs to you.
