Just wondering if anyone else struggles with the time change? This time of year I struggle with depression and add the time change on top of it and it seems to make it worse. Does anyone else struggle with this?

I always find it difficult until the clocks go forward again. I find it very depressing when it gets dark so early. We have had some grey days lately and it got very gloomy by 3.30 pm.

I don't like it either when it gets dark so early. I have a daily routine which includes an evening walk with my dogs around sunset and I really enjoy that walk. When the sun starts setting at 4.30 in the afternoon, it does not fit in with my schedule at all!!!! I am lucky though in that we do tend to get a lot of sunny days here even in winter. It's just that the days are very short.

I'm really glad you have your SAD lamp (((((((((Beth))))))))))))) because I know you've said that helps you.

Hugs to all and warm, sunny feelings!

I completely know how you feel. I always get drepressed this time of year. And with the time change,I hate it even more. I wish I lived in a warm climiate and didn't have to worry about snow and ice.

Thanks everyone for your responses and I'm sorry that you struggle with this as well. Sundog you're right my SAD lamp is a life saver for me.

Widgets, a SAD lamp is a lamp for Seasonal Affective Disorder. This is from wikepedia: Light therapy uses a lightbox which emits far more lumens than a customary incandescent lamp. I started using it in September and I do notice a difference. It's not the same as the real sun, but it's a great alternative. This is the website where I purchased my lamp from (I have the Travelite)

I am seriously thinking about moving to southern europe when I finish my school. I want to live somewhere where fig trees grow and summer lasts 5 months. I feel that over here (central Europe) the sucky weather last like 10 months.
