What's the difference between manic affective disorder and bipolar disorder?

Don't know manic affective disorder, but I've read about Bipolar Affective Disorder (which is another name for Bipolar Disorder), Single Manic Episode, which is what it implies - a single manic phase with no evidence of depression prior to it. Hope that helps!

Hi kgkgkgkggkgkgkgk; bipolar was previously called manic-depressive disorder or manic depression. As PT said bipolar can also be being referred to as bipolar affective disorder. All these terms are describing the same thing, bipolar. Just so it can be even more confusing for people
