I have complete flipped my lid now! I got a letter dated 11/23/2010 from unemployment saying I was getting a 20 week extension on my unemployment. I called because it sounded to good to be true...as it turns out I had already used 14 weeks they were just late in getting the letters out. So at least I had 6 weeks left....NOT! I called again because I heard on the news the program ended on Dec 4th. So, I call again and they said yes, they program had ended and I would no longer be receiving unemployment. WHAT?????? Did they not just tell me a week ago that I had 6 weeks left??? Oh sorry, they misspoke is the answer I got. GRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!
Now how am I supposed to move with no income and no jobs? I have to be out of my house by the end of this month and I have no money to rent another place....I am so P.O'ed right I could throw everything in my house!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i'm so sorry...i don't know what to say i don't have much money now either... i have room at my house. i would let any one who needs it stay here... i was homeless for 5 years seems so long ago. i know what i's like to have absolutely nothing and fear all the time. i can understand the uncertainty you are going through. i was on unemployment for half a year they cut me off said no more wouldn't even extend it nothin i had to fight my employer to get it too had to see this unemployment judge person. and everything. wasn't worth the heartache they put me through and all the stress.
Thanks for this!

I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. Not a good thing to have to go through ever. There has to be some program where you live, some person who can help you or can direct you in the right direction. /hugs
Thanks for this!

I'm really sorry to hear this ((((((((Skully))))))))) I love (NOT) how when they "misspeak", there are no consequences. But if the shoe was on the other foot and you owed them something, you can bet they'd hold you to it. I'm really sorry you're going through this stress

I am feeling a little better today. My electric has been out of over 24 hours and just got it back on so I had nothing to do. That was rather boring. I read in the paper were Obama struck a deal with republicans so there will be a 13 month extension once the bill goes through congress...hopefully. So, I just have to wait a little while but it looks like an extension is coming soon
