I know this isn't really about bipolar but my sister was just diagnosed with breast cancer in both breasts and lymph nodes. I want to go to AZ to be with her for a couple of weeks, starting on the 20th. Right now I am doing okay but I worry about the stress of this, of course, much, much less than her stress. My pdoc upped my Cymbalta several weeks ago so I should probably be fine.

I am sorry to hear this
you will go on a medication roller coaster ride now I hate to say. My mom lived 14 months with stage 4 terminal lung cancer and it was a wild ride...pretty much has been since she died almost 6 years ago. I am finally getting back to normal and learning how to be my own person and not a person with a mother to support her.

I know it will be different with your sister, but hang on and do the best you can. The important thing is to keep close track of your moods, keep a journal, and be able to recognize when you might be getting into trouble.

I wish you and especially your sister much luck. I will be thinking of you both now

Both of my sisters have had breast cancer in the last three years. I know the struggles you have ahead of you. Know that I am thinking about you and your sister, and I'm sending my prayers.
Thanks for this!
